problem: the dvd does'nt read anything,although the systems says the device is working.insert a dvd and i get a windows message: goto xp control panel and install devices and components?

almost forgot, ive just flash the drive with v1.07 device firmware. from ASUS

yes m8, try reflashing 3 times,lower versions. in the end i scrap the drive.thanks for the help.

GuruDid this problem occour after you flashed it with a new firmware>?? If so reflash as it may be corupt
