Hooked up the converter box and everything works fine except I cannot get a major tv station ABC. We adjusted the antena, but that didn't help. I just get "NOSIGNAL"

Your ability to receive stations will be based on the the type of antenna you have. There are three typical types: a Yagi ( It is the traditional type) it is uni directional ; bi--directional; and lastly omnidirectional. Both the Yagi and Bidirectional need to be pointed toward the local ABC affiliate tower to receive signal this may result in loss of others channels at that time. Finally all antennas have a range that they are effective. Check the range of the antenna you have. If you go to www.antennaweb.org they can tell you the proper azimuth for pointing your antenna and they will give you a breakdown of the towers so you can see the specific tower you need to point toward to get ABC and if I remember correctly they give you the distance from your location to the tower.
If you have any questions post a comment to this solution. Hope this helps you.

Attach tv converter box

Everything is digital now. You will need a digital converter box. You will connect an antenna to it, and then connect the box to your tv. The box will come with it's own remote. Your tv will be set to channel 3 or 4 (depending on the converter box you get), and you will control the stations with the remote that came with the converter. You can get them at any electronics store.

You will need to rescan your stations. On the June cutoff date, they reshuffled and renumbered most of the stations.

How do I use my VCR with the DTV Converter Box that I had to get?

You only have three choices that I know of. The first two are a bit expensive though. 1) Buy a digital TV, then you could split your antenna cable to the TV and Converter box. Then use the converter box as the tuner for the VCR. 2) Buy a digital VCRand do the same thing using the converter box as the TV's tuner. or 3) Get a second Converter box and split the incoming cable between the two, using one for the TV and the other for the VCR. If you use any of these ideas, remember that You need to not have the VCR and the "new" tuner for the TV set to play on the same TV channel, and that you switch teh VCR out of VCR mode with the TV/VCR button, so that you get a clear signal on the other channel. If anyone has an easier solution, I too would like to know about it, seeing as I am in the same position and would like to avoid this problem as well.

Convertor box and Sony Wega with PIP (2 Tuners) and new Digital DVR/VCR

I wonder if the RF interference from the digital tuner. That box will only allow ouput either through the coax or the AV ports. If you do both you will not get a picture.

If you switch them you have to tell the box what your using for output by going through the setup process.

Is the Zenith 901 converter box for your cable TV.

The tuner section, and or the voltage regulator circuit that supplies it is probably failing. The service rep for your set may be able to order a new tuner module and install it. This is not a type of repair you can do yourself.

Insignia NS-DXA1 - Digital to Analog converter box

I have had my converter box 5 days now. I hooked it up to the TV and set it up. No Problem. Except there are no instructions on how to set up the VCR/DVD player with it, which we use more than we do watching TV. Everything worked fine until on the second day we had it I read I could program the remote to turn the TV on and off. I followed the instructions and the TV went off. When I turned it back on, my remote went berserk. If I try to change a channel it will quickly flip through all the channels until I turn the converter box off. Same with the volume, it goes up and down, up and down until I shut off the box. The remote does not work unless you are about 1 foot away from the box. And the remote has never turned the TV on or off except that first time I programed it.
