The t-con board is always at the top/middle if all lcd's. If it doesn't have one visible then it is built in the display and therefore non serviceable. If it is visible and after replacing it does not cure your problem then the display panel is bad then the set is scrap. The display will cost as much if not more than a new set.

Where is the inverter board located in the sanyo dp42849

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I plugged in my sanyo 26" lcd tv and there's a thick white vertical line down the center of the tv. I don't know what to do about it.

If the unit is under warranty, return it to the manufacturer for a replacement or a refund.
What you need t check is that the voltages from the printed circuit boards to the LCD panel are giving the correct voltages, also check the logic printed circuit board for shorted components or incorrect voltage values, if after checking the voltages frim each printed circuit board, everything is testing ok, the problem may be that you need a replacement LCD panel. But make sure to throughly check the main printed circuit board for any faulty solder jouints , or dry joints, as well as any blown or shorted components. I hope this helps. Good luck.

My self diagnosis problem. (standby)imdicator is flashing in red,six times between two second break ??????

Information from Sony:
Audio Output Error (6X)
There are three possible failures that can cause a 6X protection mode, and they are as follows.
Short Audio Amplifier Outputs
Lose of 15V Supply
Lose of 9V Supply
The key to determining what to check first is if audio is heard before the TV shuts OFF.
If audio is heard before the TV shuts OFF, then the next step is to check the 15V supply at CN7503/pin 1. If the voltage is missing replace the G1/G2-Board. If the voltage is present, first check the fuse PS7001 for a possible easy fix. If the fuse is OK replace the AU-Board.
If no audio is heard before the TV shuts OFF check for 9V at CN9502/pin 1.
If the 9V is missing replace the BU-Board. However, if the 9V is present check and confirm that the protection circuit output voltage is making it to the Main Microprocessor IC1001/pin 26. If 2.8V is present at IC1001/pin 26 then the Main Microprocessor is defective. Replace the BU-Board. If the voltage at IC1001/pin 26 is 0V then the audio output circuit has actually failed. In this case, replace the AU-Board. A shorted audio output or a DC voltage level measure across the audio output will cause a 6X protection mode indication. In either case the problem will exist in the audio circuitry on the AU-Board.

Sanyo DP15647 powers on but no display, trying to find fault

I had a similar problem like yours with a different TV. I had to find the Service Manual for the TV to really find the problem. The manual gives me every schematic and parts number list for every board in the TV. It turned out to be a bad Inverter Transformer. It was one of six that powered the LCD screen. You might have the same problem.
The Service Manual on the internet for most TVs are under $20. It's the best material for diagnosing the problem. It worked for me.
