There are some countries that use the alphabet differently than we do so therefore they make a setting for the keyboard to work under a different program for them. I had the same thing happen to me and I thought I was loosing it. Go into your "control Panel' and double click or right click on the key board and open it up and it may give you the option to change to ASCII. Usually logging completely off then back on clears it up, you might try that. I don't know what makes them jump over like that, I didn't such a thing existed until a few months back. Now that I think about I believe I did just log completely off and let it set a minute or two and when it came back up it was OK. If that doesn't do it log off and pull the batteries and let it set a few seconds, it's programmed to default to ASCII.
