Also it will only stay on when the USB Port is in the laptop if i take it off it will only stay on for a few seconds and again i cant get into the menu, and when it is in the laptop it doesnt say it is charging. I have a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium laptop.

My Rio Carbon turns off by itself too. It seems only to do this when moved but does so even under slight movement. When kept perfectly still it seems to work normally. Maybe the hard-drive shock-proofing is damaged? Probably hard to fix, hmm?

I have been opening my mp3 player up a lot recently in order to fix it's volume wheel. Could this have caused a problem? I opened up the device before to fix the same problem without incident.

New firmware for mp-c582

Posted on Jul 11, 2007

Try taking the battery out and then waiting awhile and putting a new one in.

Posted on Jan 30, 2007

It is a battery problem, i have that mp3 player, if you don't use brand new batteries, it doesn't work. On top of that, the batteries only last for about 4 hours of play

Posted on Jan 19, 2007

Mine did the same thing. It was the battery.

I have found that if you turn the volume up full blast sometimes it will turn off try turning the volume down

Posted on Jan 07, 2007

Holding the volume up button and the power button resets the player and fixes the problem for me. don't worry, reset doesn't mean format, your songs should still be there afterwords.

Posted on Jan 02, 2007

This could indicate a battery problem, if it is just the one song then I would recommend upgrading its firmware to 3.4, find it from Wikipedia

I belive that you are trying to start-up with your lock button set on HOLD. If it shows orange that means it's in locked position. try setting it off and try starting up the player again.

Mine did that when it was new. do you need new batteries, or maybe you're holding the power button for too long?

Sounds like a battery problem or a power problem. Best thing to do here is send back to creative or contact on line.

My Ipod classic 80G has stopped playing music. what happens is after I select and then press play it will have the play sign on the top, but the song wont starta and after a few moments it then starts to...

Make sure that you got all of your songs off of itunes, or that they have been converted through itunes correctly. This is caused by songs being the wrong format, or that the song itself is corrupted. Try restoring the unit through itunes, and loading the songs back on. If you are running with your unit while trying to listen music this can also cause the unit to freeze up when playing a song. Any type of continuous motion can cause your ipod to not play songs. This is because the ipod has a hard drive inside of it, and when you move alot with a hard drive it cant read correctly. If you want to run with your unit, i would suggest getting a flash drive based mp3 player (ie itouch). If you have any further questions feel free to contact

Nextarm933a mp3 player cant get to play songs or download

When you download songs, save it first on your My Music folder for you to easily track the song list. Once you have successfully downloaded the songs, insert your MP3 Player. Format your MP3 Player first by right clicking the drive and click format. Once it is formatted, Copy the songs from your My Music folder then Paste it on your MP3 Player drive.
*Note: Try to play your saved song in your Windows Media Player if the song is working fine before you copy it on your MP3 Player.
Drop a comment if you still have questions. I would be happy assisting you.

Headfone jacc or playing problem

The songs are in the wrong format, or their license has expired - there is nothing wrong with the player itself; use mp3 format songs only, and you won't have any problems

I cant even delete my music or put new music on...

Instead of deleting the songs you may need to format.

If you haven't tryed this follow these simple steps.

To format your device first click on "Start" then click on "My Computer" now look for your mp3 player, if it hasn't been change the names usually called "Removable Disk", once you've found that right-click on it then click on "Format".

Now you've formatted put songs on then try your mp3 player to see if the problems be fixed.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.
