Hi

Its hard to say what might be wrong... Is it not turning on or is there another problem?

No power can be due to static shock shorting out the fuse, or there may have been damage to the switch on the inside of the battery door. Open the door and check the switch beside the memory card slot.. is it damaged? Try pressing it down and pressing the power button, maybe the door isn't contacting it properly.

If its not the door switch, you may need to replace the fuse on the PCB (if you can solder really well) or the PCB itself.

We are an affordable digital camera repair business, I don't have a current price for this board but I can see if I can get it if you like, and we can also perform the repair for you. Even if you don't use us just let me know if I can help with anything else.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

It's likely not worth getting repaired, no. In the world of digital cameras, 3 years is unfortunately pretty old. If you have tried two different batteries, that rules out the battery as the culprit. It's likely that there is a circuit inside that is fried and is interrupting the flow of power both from and to the battery. My only suggestion would be to take the battery out for a couple of hours then put it back in and see if that does anything. It probably won't but it's worth a shot. It's probably time for a trip to your local electronics store for a new camera...

My nikion coolpix l20(red) Batteries die within 2 hours!

I have an L20 also, and I have never had that problem. Try using different kinds of batteries. If that doesn't work, it's probably just a glitch in the camera. You could have accidentally gotten water on it, that would damage it and cause a battery problem. If that's not the case, I would just take it back.

How to use nikon L10 as a web cam

I'm sorry but you can't. There is no function on the camera to stream video.
Also, the camera goes into standby mode after 30 seconds (by default). And 3 minutes after that, it shuts off completely. It does that to save batteries. Again. I'm sorry. Good webcams average between $20. to $50. usd and they are made to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Even though the solution was not what you prpbably wanted, don't let it stop you from rating it a fixya. I would appreciate it. Let me know if I can help you with anything else, and thanks for coming to FixYa.

Water Damaged

ok there is one fix that i used with my canon sd700
again, it dropped it in the water and it stopped working
i took of the screen and changed the batterey wattage to 65w instead of 45w using a zxd breaker
then the "hotfix"
i pit it into a oven for 30 sec to get all compo. hot and then let it cool
i pressed the power button, and it worked!!
bad thing is the battery lasts about 5 or 6 hours only because of wattage change!

Plz help

remove the SD Card and the batteries. Wait for half an hour and then insert two new batteries. Do not put the SD card in as yet. (Waiting for half an hour or more allows the camera to reset itself).

Now try switching on and good luck.

Fuji S3500 won't turn on

Acording to the manual, if a camera is stored for a period of time, you need to insert new batteries and leave the camera for an hour or so. I had the same problem, and after an hour the camera worked. AH
