Question about Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television

2 Answers

Picture Bows Horizontally like a Semicircle at the top and bottom.

The picture comes and goes out of a stretched picture. The top and bottom form semi circles. Pointed towards the top and bottom so that the middle gets pushed together and the edges are stretched. I don't know if I am being descriptive enough. I have had the TV for 4 years. I just thought of a good descriptor. It makes the picture look like a horizontal hourglass. Any help would be appreciated.

Are they color lines as this is a common problem called a convergence problem.Or are you saying the pic looks good except its in the shape of an hourglass?? if it is it sounds like and old b+ filter problem in the raw b+ curcuit. Now the convergence could be simply the convergence ic's But I wouldnt mess with them unless you really know what your doing as this could cause a burn on the crt's if your not carefull. Good luck and any more qs Please ask away.

Horizontal position and size
Vertical position and size.

Please consult a professional for adjustment on these items as they are all near or connect to parts that have Hazardous Voltage.

Convergence problem?

Not unless the Tv sneaking some kegerator juice while your not there??LOL It sounds like a Main b+ filter or possibly the convergence IC and is not user serviceable. With all the hi-voltage inside these sets its best for you and the set to call in a proffesional to do this type of repair. Sorry i couldnt assist you more with this repair.
