Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV
Our Viore Tv is just over 1 year old. Sometimes it shuts itself off. It may do this soon after turning it on, or after it has been running for a while. Any solution?
The lamp is most likely over heating. Check the fan in the lamp assembly compartment. Its located in the rear of the tv... try removing the lamp compartment and replacing the fan.
A quick fix is to put a small 7-10 inch box fan with its back flush to the lamp
compartment's vent - this will draw the heat out.

contact lg at 800-423-000. they may cover the repair. They might charge you a small trip fee and cover the part. sounds like the pwr supply is shutting down.
