Question about Dishwashers
ngfam1 At your service!
Sounds like it may be one of a few problems,
1.The drain may be clogged going out to your kitchen sink
2.There may be some food or debris at the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher blocking the drain screen. BE CAREFUL RUNNING YOUR FINGERS DOWN IN THE BOTTOM OF TH WATER!
There may be broken glass in there that you can not see through the water , holding back food causing the blockage!
I cut my finger once clearing this to quickly.
3- you may have a bad pump that may need to be replaced.
USUALLY its a blockage some where from the dishwasher to the drain.
I once saw a large piece of broken glass in the drain holding the food particles back.
That's the on that got me so move your fingers real slowly in there , if you must use your hands.
I recommend hands on service if it's a fairly new machine!
How old is the appliance?
If the appliance is 10 years old or more you may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
You need a hands on tech for this repair!
You will be fine
