Digital Camera: Canon PowerShot S410.
Display screen is blank, although can see through eye hole. Pictures come out blank as well! Lens zoom-in/out works fine.

Its CCD imager problem in your Canon S410 camera. Canon will repair it Free Of Cost. See Canon Advisory details for this scheme.
