Brand new kenmore air conditioner 18500 btu, there is no place for the water to drain, no drain plug? water is getting high... model 70181

most window units don't have a drain. they throw condensate on condenser to evaporate it.

this is to be expected on really humid days . I might suggest you get a hot water pan that has a drain hose that you can drop out side to help you get a better drain going it the nature of the beast i wish ther was something else I could offer you

The drain plug is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it into a low sided pan that can hold a least a quart of water. Or roll it to an area, where you can allow it to just drain. If you drain it in place into a pan, be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before draining the water.

Newer A/C units throw the condensation water up to the hot condenser coils outside to help cool down the coils.

it should be on the outside of the unit, look towards the middle back, should be a hole

A lot of the newer window units design the outside fan to pickup the condensate water and sling it onto the coil. The evaporative effect makes the unit run more efficiently. They ususally don't spit, but if the unit is running well, otherwise, I would't worry about it.

All air conditioners drain water.

an air conditioner is a dehumidifyer make sure it is level the water should drain out the back
