Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. I can confirm it's normal for the cleaner to become warm during use. However, if you feel the cleaner is becoming excessively hot, it's a good idea to check the cleaner for blockages, and to wash the filter. The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide: http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=4&product=DC07-SY-HEPA_US Under normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent, and allow up to 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it. By clearing any obstructions and washing the filter, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've tried this and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you recommend the best course of action. Kind regards, Jack Dyson Online Customer Support

Why the vacuum shut off after 3 minutes and the plug is hot

sounds like the motor maybe clogged and over heating. if you can take apart the vacuum and find the motor. if you have a shop vac use that to clean out the dust and debris. put it back together and try it again. if this doesn't work i would replace the vacuum or get it repaired. i would NOT continue to run the vacuum if the plug gets hot after 3 minutes.

Aquamate II doesn't come on

The early version of the AquaMate II was very sensitive to clogging. Run very hot water through all the lines in the wash cycle to clean out soup buildup. Let us know if that fixes it.

Emptied cannister and now roller will not rotate and yellow ball became very warm-

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC24. It's normal for the Ball to become warm during use, since the motor is housed inside it. If the Ball won't rotate, you may have the filter cover fitted incorrectly - please see the video below to ensure the HEPA filter and filter cover are correctly secured in place. If this doesn't help, or if you're concerned the cleaner is becoming excessively hot, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone, and assist in resolving this issue for you as quickly as possible. My d24 .is getting very hot and there is a smell coming from the motor. if the motor is failing how easy is it to replace

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC24. I can confirm that it's normal for the cleaner to generate some heat during use, but if it seems to be becoming excessively hot, I'd recommend checking for blockages, and washing the filters. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=1492&product=DC24-ALLFLOORS Under normal use, this should be done at least once every month. Use cold water without detergent, and allow up to 24 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it. By clearing any obstructions and washing the filter, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've tried this and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and to recommend the best course of action. If it's necessary to replace the cleaner's motor, this should be covered by our 5-year warranty as long as the cleaner's been used in accordance with the terms and conditions listed in the user guide. We'd strongly advise against attempting to replace the motor yourself. Kind regards, Jack Dyson Online Customer Support

I was vacuuming the stairs, using the hose attachment, when the vacuum just stopped, and would not start again... is there a fuse box in the vacuum? it was hot, but there was no sparks or any other signs...

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your Dyson cleaner. Most Dyson vacuums are equipped with a safety device which shuts the machine off if it starts to overheat - usually this will be because the cleaner is blocked, or because the filters need a wash.

The advice we'd recommend to resolve these issues would depend on which model of Dyson you own, which you haven't specified in your question. However, if you visit www.dyson.com and click on 'Support', you should be able to locate your machine, and find the relevant step-by-step guides to help you get it running again.

However, if you need further assistance, it's probably get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run though some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and recommend the best course of action. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).
