It sounds like the key that is stuck is producing a fault condition which is causing the motherboard speaker to sound a fault code.
Try using another keyboard.

From what you have stated the sound is a stuck key alarm. To resolve this, have the computer off and then invert your keyboard and knock it stiffly on your desktop by forcing the keyboard tray down on the desk while holding it in your hands. You'll be surprised at what drops out onto your desk so be prepared to clean this up once it stops releasing stuff from your keyboard.

With this task over, place the keyboard up again and restart the computer and see if you do not get thie stuck key alarm again. But, get started on shopping for a new keyboard as this may return as a problem. These keyboards only last so long and in some cases not very long at all.

When you shop for a keyboard I would suggest you get a Logitech, Kensington and a Microsoft keyboard. I have a preference for Logitech because of the price and how fast I use these things up.

Let me know how this works out for you. You can use the comment box below to correspond.
Thanks for using FixYa.

P3015 beep

Here are some possible reasons why your printer is beeping:
1. Your printer is connected to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). When the printer goes through the printing cycle it uses a massive amount of electricity. During those few seconds of power usage, the UPS will beep indicating that it will not be able to sustain that power output for any period of time.

How to fix: Move your printer to another outlet and don't connect it to a UPS
2. You have an MFP (multi-function printer) that is attempting to fax again and again. When sending a fax, it's typical that the printer makes noises (dialing, connecting, etc). One of these noises is a fax response beep.
How to fix: Check your printers menu and turn off/down the fax volume
3. Some printers with an LCD menu and keypad make noise when keys are pressed or the printer encounters an alarm of some type. This can become annoying when typing keys for a phone number or by changing a menu setting.
How to fix: Check the menu settings for the printer and turn off/down the sound that's occuring. As an example, the HP LaserJet MFP series printers have the following sounds.
  • The alarm sound that the printer makes when it requires attention, such as when the all-in-one
    door is open.
  • The beeps that are emitted when you press the all-in-one control-panel buttons.
  • The phone line sounds for outgoing faxes.
  • The ring volume for incoming faxes.
As an example, change alarm volume by following these steps (using a 305X series printer)
1. Press Menu
2. Use the < or the > button to select System setup, and then press the green checkmark button
3. Use the < or the > button to select Volume settings, and then press green checkmark button
4. Press the green checkmark button to select Alarm volume
5. Use the < or the > button to select Off, Soft, Medium, or Loud
6. Press the green checkmark button to save your selection

Dell optiplex sx270: loud, steady noise like an alarm a few seconds after I turn on the PC

You can check the meanings of the error beep codes HERE. Every beep code means something different. The bad thing is that the code I think you are speaking of is a fatal error.

Good luck

When I turn my computer on, I get a loud alarm

I had the same problem - almost took it apart and tried to get to the HD, but then realized it was a stuck key.
Try tapping the keyboard, maybe one key at a time, just to be sure that there isn't a key that the computer is registering as pressed. Then try rebooting.
Hope that helps!

Aopen ax34 tamper alarm--how to reset????

I don't think that board actually has a tamper alarm in the bios, password security yes but I saw no mention of a tamper alarm. Besides, a tamper alarm won't stop the pc from booting, it just lets you know that the case has been opened....sorry. I think you likely have a mainboard/ram issue.

First thing is to clear the bios. Here's how. Right beside the floppy connector, there is a jumper labeled 'JP14'. Please do the following

  1. Turn off the pc and remove the ac power cord.
  2. Remove the atx power connector from the mainboard (from power supply).
  3. Locate jp14 and move the jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pins 2 and 3. Wait 10 seconds.
  4. Put jp14 back to pins 1 and 2
  5. Reconnect the atx power connector.
Or you can just unplug it from the waal and remove the bios battery for an hour.
sa code
Try to fire it up again. If it still won't boot, then let me know the number of beeps it makes and the pattern to the beeps ie: one long beep then another long beep or 1 long beep then 2 short ones. These beep are actually telling you what the problem is.

Hope this helps! Post a comment and let me know how you make out.

Computer beeping loudly

It could be that you have a keyboard malfunction, however it looks like there is a bios update that will eliminate the beep at start up. Go to Toshiba's support site and download the bios update. if that doesn't fix the problem then try a new keyboard. Being only 2 months old it should fall under warranty.
