The clip on the focus drive has detached itself from the motor thread ( or possibly broken )
There are no drive gears on this model, only a motor with a screw thread about half an inch long which the focus lens travels up and down on. This is attached to the drive thread by a small clip and a tension spring.
You will have to access you lens unit to acertain the problem.
My email is listed in "THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW.." in my tips and tricks section on my profile if you require any advice or help should you wish to effect a repair your self.
According to the manual, you should turn the camera on again, taking care not to touch the lens. It also says to turn the camera off and on again. If the message still appears, it says to contact your Fuji dealer. I'm sure you've already tried turning it off and on. Hope this helps maybe. Good luck.
