Question about Bosch Dishwashers

1 Answer

Model she44c02uc; 2 years old. no matter which cycle we pick, it just keeps on running..it gets down to about 15 minutes on the countdown timer, and then resets itself to 80 minutes or so and washes over again...if we manually turn it off and then push quick wash, it seems to finish, but doesn't dry the dishes.......we have tried all suggestions in the manual and cleaned both filters; the line is not clogged...the sink and disposal both work fine. thanks

Hi,
gibpru,
ngafm at your service,

You said, no matter which cycle you pick, it just keeps on running..it gets down to about 15 minutes on the countdown timer, and then resets itself to 80 minutes or so and washes over again..

Did you try turning off the power from the circuit breaker for ten minutes to see if this resets
the system ? Then try to run it and see if it's reset!

Other wise it sounds like an electronic problem and will need a hands on diagnoses!

Bless You

Timer light on front panel of dishwasher has stopped working--how is it replaced?

Most of the led lights are fused to the circuit board. Sounds like the circuit board is going or gone bad. I'm not sure because you did not give the model of the dishwasher.

Most of the control lights are led and do not go bad. But the circuit board that controls the lights can go bad. You may be able to fix the control circuit board but replacing it would be easier.

The "2H" is an error code indicating the control panel needs to be replaced.

What does the 2H mean? It seems to be the "standard" but the manual has no definition.

Great question!
2H means 2 hours -- 120 minutes ... the display only has 2 digits so it can not display 120 minutes. When the timer gets done near an hour an one half, it will start to display a countdown somewhere near 90 (minutes)
Yes, the cycles are long on the LG LDFxxxx dishwashers, just like all water and energy conserving dishwashers.
This really is a good dishwasher, recommend you keep the rinse aid dispenser filled up and ALWAYS use a brand name powder (like Electrosol or Cascade.) Also make sure when it was installed, it was properly leveled.
Hope this helps!

Try checking the water level, and level switch? Is the outlet hose high enough of the floor? If you tip the machine back you should see one or two clear plastic tubes, take one end of these and blow through them and the do it the other way round.

Sounds like the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door.
