Re: connection lost after a couple hours

Istall a good firewall! Sounds like spyware to me, probably something blocking new connection leaving the computer. You can try downloading ZoneAlarm at, also try runnig asome anti spyware progs like spybot-search&destroy and Lavasoft's adaware good Luck

Lose internet connection (hughes net) when hooking up router

I would contact your hughes net, that is a satelite provider. That is a total different system, than dsl or cable. Hughes net should be able to walk you through the setup.

Unable to access homeportal, but internet is ok?! (2wire 1800hw)

I had the same problem. I reset the home portal to factory setting and uninstalled the 2wire software from my main computer. I then reinstalled the system using installation cd that came with 2wire.

Losing net signal

Hi you need to go into internet explorer, in where you would type for example you type im sure thats correct one for your router, but if you know the routers ip address just put it in, hit enter
a menu will appear asking for username and password
usually - admin , password - password
admin ,admin
you will find correct setting in manual if you still have it,
once you get in, click on wireless settings, in there you can change the wireless channel quite easilly..
