Hi

Error code F5 indicates that there is an issue with the door latch switch assembly; if the switch tests open then the door lock assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The control panel on my oven doesn't seem to be working. I pressing COOKING MODE for 5 seconds and nothing happens. The display just blinks once in a while.

In the power panel on your house. There are two circuit breakers with their handles joined. One of these breakers has tripped internally which will stop the heating elements but not the control panel or oven light since they work on 120 volts. Reset the breaker or replace it.

F3e2 error

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

We had a power cut and now we cannot reset the clock or use the oven HELP!

Does anything electrical work on this unit ? do the numbers "light up" for the clock ? if not I would check your circuit breaker box to see if the breaker is tripped. The breaker will be in the middle position instead of being in the on position. If its tripped, flip it to the off position then to on. Check first then let me know.

I have a STOP message on the oven display. The user manual refers me to the product description sheet or the electronic programmer description, neither of which I have. The oven is not working at all while...

HI. This is a control fault, that may be corrected by simply shutting down the appropriate circuit breaker for 5 minutes. This will DE-energize the control board. Once the 5 minutes have passed, simply re-introduce power to the unit. If the unit continues to produce the error, this will confirm that the main control board has failed. it should be replaced asap.

Error code F7 keeps coming up, what does this mean?

F1 error and beeping. Don't bother getting GE out there. Cost me $90 to learn they don't make the clock. WOuld have been $500+ for the control panel anyway. Better off just buying a new one. Planned obsolescence I guess. I won't buy GE again.

Control panel for oven functions has gone blank with occasional beeping sounds

The control panel may have a power issue. Replacing the board fixed my problem. It looks like 4 resistors and a ZD1 diode heat up and fail. The U1 chip could also be a problem. If you replace the controller it will cost around $225. Be careful of the key pad ribbon cable. They break easily. Another $186. Good luck.

Kenmore Elite slide in range F30 error

I had the same F30 error problem but fixed it. On my professional series Frigidaire, there are 2 resettable red button locations. I discovered that only one is in the rear of the oven. After going to the breaker box and shutting off the power, pull out the stove enough to work, unscrew the rear screws (I didn't unscrew all of them, just enough to work back there). The small red button is on a small black round piece with two purple wires feeding to it. That was not my problem. Mine was the other red button behind the control panel. Pull off all 4 knobs, unscrew by hand the large black rings that are underneath the knobs, pull out the whole panel. Look back and right (below where the right knobs were located) to find the 2nd red small button. Push to reset. Check this one first since it is easier to do.

Re.probe and bake

I had the same problem and pulled off the contorl panel and removed the ribbion looking thing. You might have to do this a few times and wiggle it a little. It took me about 4 trys to get it to stop. also you can lock the control panel and the beeping will stop...this was my temp fix until I figured out how to get the control panel off and what to do.
