Question about Panasonic Home Theater System System

1 Answer

Panasonic Home Theater system SA-HT 1500

Base unit will not switch on.
When mains power is applied standby indicator flashes and so does clock display.
Obviously the fault is in the power supply system. Does anyone have any experience of this happening to them and a possible solution?

Not sure this will work for you, but it did for me. Really simple. Unplug the unit for 5 minutes. Started right up.

Have a Panasonic SA-BT100 which now will not power up, there is no red standby light, have swapped the power lead to check the fuse and still no power - any suggestions ????

These unit have an internal fuse. This will mean removing the power lead, opening the case and replacing the fuse. Probably best to have a professional do it. Sorry, Shouldn't be expensive though.

I have a panasonic dvd home theater sound system SA-HT930, and the dvd player, is broke can do nothing with it, need a new one but the plug between the ampli and the dvd wont fit on any new dvd theater...

Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

I have a Samsung HT-z510 home audio and the wireless receiver for the back speakers stays in standby mode. I have set the mode to cinema but it still stays in standby. What can I check next?

Here is how I reset. Key terms to identify: Main unit, remote unit, transmission card, reset button on remote unit. 1. Unplug both units and remove transmission card from rear of Main unit. 2. Wait five minutes. Insert transmission card in rear of Main. 3. Turn on both units. If units do not communicate, there will be a solid red indicator on remote unit...In this case continue with 4. Use remote and turn off main. 5. Point remote at main and enter the following four digits, holding each down for about a second:  0   1   3   5 6. The main unit should turn on. 7. With remote unit on, press and hold down the reset button for 5 seconds.
