The battery compartment for the Logitech mouse I have flips up from the back when you press a tiny battery icon bottom on the bottom. Changed out the battery & it works fine. Mikehattan1 gave me the clue I needed to get it open. Thanks!

On my Logitech wireless mouse, when the battery runs low, it stops working. Also if your keyboard is wireless the batteries in that could affect the operation of the mouse. Plus, on another brand wireless mouse the signal from the usb port adaptore for the mouse was being blocked because i didn't have the mouse clear and to far away. Hope these tips help.

Please refresh the wireless connection
in order to do so please press and hold down the connect button at the bottom of the mouse and the connect button on the receiver together and release both the buttons together.
this should referesh the wireless connection.
Turn the mouse over. There is a battery cover that needs to slide to open. Your mouse should take 1 AA alkaline battery. Also there is a recesssed button on the underside that you you can press (with a pen tip or paper clip to reset the mouse). Either the new battery or the reset should solve your problem.

be sure not to use rechargeable batteries, because they run out of juice about twenty times as fast as normal batteries. it's also advised to use the better brands of batteries, like for instance duracell or energizer. if you still have problems afterwards, there may be a physical problem with the mouse. in that case it's better to replace it than to have it repaired, since the repair price will be higher than the price of a new mouse.
