Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

Webcam isn't working at all

I bought my pavilion dv6000 laptop, and it was in Russian language. When I installed the English version of Windows vista 64bit, my webcam immediately stopped working. Im sorry to say that; I have performed all the neccessary tasks both installing and uninstalling the webcam and updating to a newer version and installing the acer webcam driver.... so so so everything still remains thesame. I test the webcam both with Youcam and Quickplay .......... Thanks if any possible solution

I appriciate your efforts in trying the possible solutions available to resolve the issue with the webcam.
However, I recomend you to try downloading HP Webcam Driver with Firmware Upgrade for Microsoft Windows Vista available from HP and the install it in the Notebook.
It is available for download from the link below :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36409.exe

Save the file in the Notebook and double click it once the download is completed to install it.
Restart the computer once the installation is completed and check with specified applications.
Hope this helps...

Go into the Control Panel and look for Clock,Language and Regional settings. You should be able to do it from there. I assume that the version of Windows is either Vista or Win7.

my friend i have some link here that might help you understand your problem and eventually answer your problem. Click Here
But if it doesn't work the only way you can change the language from Russian to English is by reinstalling the Operating System in English version. In that way, you can change  and reset the language from Russian to English.
Hope this solution helps your problem. If you need more assistance just reply to this post. thanks

I'm assuming the computer comes with Vista installed in which case you would need Windows Vista Ultimate, the most premium version of Vista, in order to completely install the Russian language.

How to change hp pavilion dv6000 from german to english

If you want to change Operating System from one language to another one, there is only one way. You need install English version of the Operating System. You can change some regional settings (time, writing languague to make programs recognise it), but nothing you can do about whole system. Please obtain an English version of Windows (or Linux if this is your operating system) and make a new installation on your computer. Of course back up all you datas before doing so
