I push start button and hold this more than 2 seconds but the starting screen is not opening i also connect to battery charger from car and then pushing again to start but no reaction i have tomtom...

The issue could be a low power in the Tomtom and that is the reason it is not switching on. Now here the problem could be with the charging cable/wire from the car charger which might not be giving power to the GPS. Check for the fuse at the connector.
If the fuse is blown off the power wont goes into the GPS and it wont get charged and wont swich on. Look at the tip of the connector which has that spring like contact. You will be able to turn that to open it and find a fuse. Replace it with the right "amp" as the existing one. You will get one from Radioshack.
If you have already checked it and sure it is charging could be issue with Tomtom itself..Good luckKris..

I reinstalled the driver of my garmin forerunner 205 but it is still not recognized by my computer. it has been working for over a year but now I do not get any connection and the device is not recognized...

When you connect the unit to the cradle is there any reaction from the unit? I would try using a different USB port and cord first if this dosent fix your problem the next step would be to obtain a new cradle for your unit. They can be purchased here

Hope this helps!

Screen on my Garmin Nuvi 650 is frozen (no reaction to touch). Cna move through screens via the on/off button. Haven't updated maps...ever. Seems like most repairs will cost me $25 just in shipping. ...

The problem with the gps device is a minor one. First you ensure it is properly charged, then you reset it by holding down the power button for about 15 seconds, then it will restart and you will be able to touch the screen once again. If that does not work, then you need to calibrate the screen, take note that calibrating the screen does not just work the moment you try it, you need to try it repeatedly till you get it right. This is how to calibrate your nuvi:
  1. Turn off your nuvi,
  2. Press your finger on the upper left corner of the touch screen,
  3. While holding your finger on the touch screen for about 30 seconds until the calibration screen comes appears (white screen with touch dot),
  4. Follow the on screen instructions.
It is an easy fix. The solution above will help you out on that. Another solution is for you to remove the battery and fix it in back. That should also help.

My Forerunner 205 schows no reaction when I press any key (exept I reset the device by pressing mode and lap or mode, lap, power, up and enter at the same time)

You should perform hard reset.

Device should be off. Hold Mode and Start button for 10 seconds, then pulse press on lap/reset.

You should get a screen asking to confirm loss of all data. Confirm, this is only way to restart properly.

Tomtom will not switch on

This could be cause by a broken USB port, battery or logic board. If the port is loose, it need to be resoldered. If the port is firm and you don't get any reaction you it Looks like the logic board may need replacement. There is a third party tomtom Repair service that will replace the part. If you want to do it yourse, there is a tomtom repair guide , the screen is available on ebay.

My Garmin ique M3 was frozen and could not turn the power on.

I had the same problem (It was a loose conection)....I called Garmin and they told me they are not in contract with palm anymore for this model....So what I did ("But don't recommend you do,if you don't feel comfortable doing it")..."VERY CAREFULLY open the cover by un-screwing the 4 screws on the back and then un-screw the 2 screws on the mother board...And then VERY CAREFULLY pull off the mother board and rest it on something soft, then begin to look for two loose connection which is located where the battery is plugged into the unit...I found that out by testing my battery with a volt-meter, I then push in the connector and now it works great. (Here is a video that show how to replace the battery) "warning". ....consult a professional if you don't feel comfortable with doing this.

Another way to turn your unit off is by using two hands.. press the power button, enter and cancel at the same time... not that.. that fixes your problem.. just fyi. I haven't directly had experience with these units in high temps but if I were to have a unit that freezes up in the middle of navigating, I'd set my sights on either the software or hard-drive. So that said, is your unit completely freezing up as in there is no reaction to pressing any buttons? What about when you scroll the volume knob.. do you hear the clicking noise? Does the power off method I said above work? If any of the answers are yes, then that would exclude the main board from being your problem. As far as the heat issue, I would suggest trying a different cradle first, then I would dive into the guts of the unit looking at a small IC chip on the backside of the I/O board (the board attached to the rear housing) making sure that one of three small IC chips in a row aren't rubbing against the outer housing. Let's try not to get into this depth yet and go off your response for now.
