When I try to scan an object a window comes up saying that the devices memory is full or busy. It is a PIXMA MP 130.

• Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan. Now you should be in service mode.
• Select Test mode.
• Select #8 Printer Test, push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button.
• The menu will say EEPRON Clear
• Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set
• Then press Stop/Reset Followed by the power button and then wait for it to restart.

You need to control the scanner thru your PC with canon software that came with your scanner otherwise you cant scan anything..first open the printer/scanner software ,select scanner,then place your document and command "scan" on your PC..thats it..

My daughter is going to have a look at printer at the weekend.

- press "scan" button, then press "start" button (either black or color)
- a small window (MP Navigator EX - MX310 series) should appear on your computer screen
- you can then choose one of the option there
- place a document or photo you want to scan on the canon plate face down
- then back to your computer screen and click "scan"

i have iMac and the pop up window says (MP Navigator EX - MX310 series) when i press "start" button on Canon
now i'm not sure if it'll say (MP Navigator EX - MX310 series) on windows PC

yes this your wast pad in your printer geting full once it is then you will a new wast pad then it will need to be reset

Try this:
Resetting overflow error code for Printer Canon Pixma MP110

1. Turn on the printer.
2. Click Menu, and then Scan, Copy and Scan again. All - entered the service mode.
3. Select Counter
4. Click Copy - everything. Waste dropped to zero.
5. Turn off the printer POWER button.

This forum is for Canon PIXMA MP 210 printers, if that is what your are trying to use HP software on it may not function properly anyway. Canon MP210 comes with scanning software that easily allows you to save a scanned image to the computer. It is called MP Navigator.

my canon pixma mp 130 says it has a cartridge jammed...Ive tried new cartridges but still get the same situation
