Pls email me about any info regarding power for css 5000 Achiever. Already change fuse still no power.
My Achiever CCS 5000 acted like it had a loose power connection, but inspection revealed nothing. Reading ronie-1's note led me to check the microswitch. Looked OK but no go. Removed the microswitch (two screws) and was able to start the motor by depressing the red button on microswitch. Then removed the red tab on hopper and inserted a thin metal washer under each screw. (Don't over-tighten or the tab base will crack. When replacing, orient tab toward outside of hopper.) Shredder works fine now. Thanks for your Website!
I emptied the bin completely. Then i cleaned out under the bin. Inside where the bin sits. That fixed it. The micro switch was not free. The cleaning out of paper shreds freed up the switch and it works perfectly.
The sensor (kill) Switch that the motor activate wehen you place the mottor correctly on the top of the basket may be loose, what I did is put a small screw in to the hole of that switch so it did solve the problem by reaching deeper in to the motor side and activate that sensor, otherwise I have had this CCS 500 for 10 years now ! and it works great , just don't heat the mottor , let it rest every 3 minutes for 1 min....
Shredder has 2 kill switches. Requires base to sit on and basket to trip second switch. . . Manufacturer of Achiever CCS-500 new name Homeland Security Cameras (p)800-678-5891 Basket = 15.00 + shipping 7.00
Hi check these before enything: 1) check with another device that the socket has power 2) check cable is good all the way (NOT torn, twiched, squashed) 3) the device is hooked up good (in place,NO trash) 4) there is a micro switch on the door which wont let the device work without no good connection 5) check good fuse should work good luck

1500 shredder stopped and will not turn on. I don't see any micro button for safety switch. I have cleaned it and the cord is fine. If there is a safety switch, where is it.
Thanks for your help
