Question about Televison & Video
There are a few things that could cause this. The lamp is the most common but I have seen some other werid thing cause this problem (ballast and engine) changing the lamp would be a good way to "shotgun" the repair but if you want to know for certain you will need to call someone out that can troubleshoot it the right way.
