Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

I recently purchased the cordless mx 3200 laser desktop (ie keyboard and mouse). I have been able to get the mouse working, but not the keyboard. I keep trying the connect buttons but there seems to be no on/off button on the keyboard to tell me whether the keyboard has connected. there is only the red little connect button am i supposed to push both buttons at the same time? i keep thinking i am connecting the keyboard but then i end up with no keyboard and no mouse

Push the connect button on the base - the light on the base should flash. Push the connect button on the keyboard. The light should stop flashing. (This is the generic Logitech way - individual models may vary slightly.)

Hey Steve,
That keyboard is still available. If it still works, I would just tape a small block on the bottom of the keyboard near where the leg was. You may have to whittle an angle on it. Use electrical tape so your desk won't get messed up, or look around the hardware store for adhesive pads, rubber feet or ???? and save yourself around $80.00.

Wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.

No instruction manual

It's easy. Plug in the usb dongle, plug in the power for the dock, put the mouse on it and let it charge fully and then use it. If you want to use the advanced buttons on it, go to the logitech web site, download the driver for your operating system and install it. At that point you will have a control to set it up in the way you want it to work, but right out of the box it will work like any other mouse.

Can't get acer desktop to recognize logitech cordless mouse

Yes, you need to install the Logitech transmitter for your cordless mouse. The acer transmitter uses a different frequency. You could try pressing the connect button on both the existing transmitter and mouse but that's not likely to work with different manufacturers.

New keyboard and mouse set only works plugged into usb ports

You could purchase a 4 port usb hub for less than $30. Leave the keyboard & mouse where they are & use the hub for your other devices. This is probably the easiest option. Hope this helps.

Cordless Mouse & Keyboard install I need help

if you have a disc for the new items ,install first, shut down pc, then take the old mouse & keyboard off connect the new wireless ones before rebooting
you may need to sync the mouse & keyboard by holding in the small little button on each item and the reciever unit untill the lights come on indicating it is recieving the signals from both mouse & keyboard.if this does not work put the old mouse back in reboot then go into control panel / mouse, and sellect wireless mouse ,turn off the pc plug the new mouse back in then boot up

good luck

Keyboard intermittent

There might be a problem with the keyboards PS2 port. You can bypass the PS2 port all together by buying a PS2 Y-adapter to usb port. This Y adapter will allow you to plug your PS2 mouse & keyboard into it and than you plug the other end into a free usb port. You do not have to plug the PS2 mouse in if you do not want to. Just plug in the keyboard. If your keyboard functions than there is a prolem with the keyboard's PS2 port. The PS2 Y-adapter to USB runs about $12.00 to $15.00. You can find one at Wallmart.
