Hey guys. Built a new computer and decided to add a video card instead of using the onboard video. Bought an EVGA Geforce GTX570 SC 1280MB GDDR5. Pretty sweet. But I cant get it to work. Got the OS(Win 7 Ult 64 Bit) up and running and installed the drivers for the card. At the end of the driver installation it said no matching hardware was found. Turned off the computer and installed the card with the power hooked up as well. After powering up the computer there was no picture through either onboard hdmi hookup or GTX mini hdmi hookup. Powering off the card and turning on the computer brings back my video(onboard). Can't install drivers with no screen. Any suggestions? Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 16 megs ddr3 RAM 2 crucial 64GB ssd drives running on a raid 0 AMD Phenom II X6 1100 t processor 3.30 Ghz

Hello, Your on-board vga is still active and by default your computer will use this for displaying graphics. You will need to disable it to use your new card or change priority so that it searches for an external display first. To do this restart your computer, go into the bios and turn it off or change priority. Refer to your computer manual for the proper location of this setting.
Please bear in mind that some systems do not give you the option of disabling your on-board vga. I believe this is to allow you to still use your computer should the external vga fail.

Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa

Have you change the amount of RAM you are using in minecraft? Try boosting to 1024MB or 2048MB.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YPd5pZq4Sc

And are you running minecraft using 64bit Java or 32bit java. 64 is MUCH better.

I have a motherboard with an Integrated ATI HD 4200. When I install my EVGA GeForce 8600GT the fan runs but the card itself is not detected in device manager or anything like that. I disabled the onboard...

You don't disable it from there. Reenable it again and do it right: you uninstall its drivers from Programs and you reboot twice; you install the new card and you connect the monitor to it; when the pc starts you go directly in the BIOS and you disable the onboard card from there; you reboot one more time and you install the drivers for the new card.

I have an Optiplex 210L and want to add on a video card. I came across an EVGA GeForce 9400gt 1GB PCI card and decided "why not!" after disabling the onboard video and setting the bios to auto (or look for...

Remove the GeForce card.
Enable the onboard video as "primary".
Start Windows.
Within Device Manager, remove the driver for the GeForce adapter.
Download the latest software software for the GeForce video-card,
and install it.
Shutdown.
Insert the GeForce card, and leave the onboard video as "Primary".
Start Windows.
It should treat the GeForce card as an "additional" video-adapter,
as if you had two monitors, side-by-side.
If it works in this configuration, shutdown.
Set the GeForce card to "primary" and restart.
If it works in this configuration, shutdown.
Set the onboard video to "disabled".
Restart.

Monitor wont work

You were not very clear with your question. If you mean you have disabled your onboard video, then installed the new video card and get nothing then the card is not compatible with your system OR you got a bad card. If you mean you simply installed the card, turn on your computer and get nothing until you move your monitor plug back to the original port (without turning off the computer) then you must disable your onboard video by going into your BIOS settings. Follow the instructions that came with your video card or your computer to do that. Usually you get in by pressing delete or F2 while the computer boots.

Connect the monitor to the onboard video connector first. then
you need to disable the on-board graphics in the BIOS save the setting and shutdown. Then connect the monitor to the GeForce video connector and boot up then you will get a video signal on the GeForce video card.

Video Card not recognized on PCV-RS410

Hi, have you check the status of the video card in the window device manager.
1. Right clicking My Computer icon on your desktop
2. Select Manage option from menu
3. Select Device Manager
Please verify if there is any yellow color exclamation appears on the left side of your new video card adaptor. If so you need to install a driver. I am assuming your pc is running window xp and video card adaptor is window xp compatible.
Hope this help.
