Re: No Image on display screen
Does the play back show any of the pictures you have taken before? are you sure the little lens cover is opening? there is a shield that closes down to keep the lens protected from debris and finger prints. Sometimes they can get jammed and not open. Tap on the front of the lens see if it opens.
Switch it to auto mode if its not in auto mode.

Did you try pressing the display button several times? in both viewing mode and record mode? Cycle through all display modes, s you get used to the button, so it does not trow you off when it happens again.
This may be due to a slow or faulty memory card. If the card is damaged, etc. the camera may be "hung up" trying to transfer the image from the buffer to the memory card. Only after this process is complete, can it attempt to display the image to you on the screen. After the images are on the card, and you want to display one or more, the whole process begins again with the camera trying to read the data from the card to be displayed on the screen.
Try again with a new / different card. Be sure to FORMAT the card in the D90 (not in a card reader / computer, etc.) prior to taking any photos.
If you still have problems, you may need to send the camera in to Nikon Service for repair.
Ah yes! you have pressed the display button. Turn the camera on and you see the icons in the display, look for the Disp button and press it, the display will cycle through its modes icons, black, image and icons.
good day! you mean that you no longer can''t hear any start up sound every time you are turning on your gadget? you try clicking on the settings if there is because there are some instances that the tune is muted. in regards with the blank screen photo, there might be something that is obscuring the image screen. for more inquiry, please keep me in touch. thank you!
it sounds as though the shudders not opening.. Now one very easy test is to after you turn it on is to tapp the lens a few times OOHH NOT SO hard!! just lightly to see in the veiwfinder if theres ant reaction If not unless you wanna take it apart and probably see nothin g out of the ordinary (LIKE the old check engine lite so you pull over and open the hood and check the engine?? what did you find?? was it still there LOL) no my point is that you wont be able to find something if your not sure on whats supose to be there But its great if you can fix it any who. See if this helps. Sonys tech # 800-488-7669 good luck
