Bad signal board or something else?

there are faint lines in my picture and I was told that it was probably the signal board. I been unable to find a signal board on line. the tv is working but the lines are annoying. I have a samsung hcn653w 65in. rear projection tv. Is this something that I have to have a repairman come out and do? I had one come out but he didnt look all that trustworthy. Or maybe I should get a second opinion. He quoted me nearly 600 dollars. And that he would have to take my signal board apart and send it to Chicago to get re-built. This will take around 4 to 6 weeks. Please let me know if this is correct. Thank you
