HP Compaq DC5100 SFF Audio Driver free download

Hi,

You should have the sound driver for your PC in the driver disc. The drive Disc resides in the Box of the system. I don't have had the exact problem. If you don't have the Disc or a copy of the driver then you have to download itfrom website. So for your requirement visit http://www8.hp.com/in/en/support-drivers.html, then enter your product number and search the driver. You can download the driver from here and itis totally free of cost.

Don't know how to get sound to work after reformatting

Hi kra02,
In order to get your sound to work again you will need to download and install your audio driver on the machine again.
You mentioned that you have a Compaq, you can go online to the Compaq website to get your Audio driver and probably the other drivers for your machine since you reformatted then you need to install all drivers needed for your Compaq.
Check in device manager under control panel to see which drivers needs to be installed, then you can download from the Compaq site to have your machine running fine again.
Drivers that you probably will need to download is the Chipset Driver, Video Driver, Audio Driver, LAN or Ethernet Driver, these are drivers that are most important.
I hope this help.
Have a nice day,

I've formatted my system. now i want to install my sound card. how can i do that?

Hi,
You have given a incomplete question.  What I wanted know is whether you don't have a sound card driver or you do not know how to install the driver.
If you don not have the drivers let me know the driver name I ll try to get the link where you can download the driver.
If you do not know how to install the drivers means, then if you have the motherboard CD you will have the driver in it. Just insert the CD in the CD ROM, it shows the list of driver(like sound driver, LAN driver, Chipset driver, USB driver & so on) select the exact option and just follow the steps.
Enjoy...!

I can only assume that you have a Sound Blaster product since you have not stated which one. Here is a link to the drivers.

If you use something else, let me know and I will find it for you.

Hello,
You will need to reinstall your audio driver. However, if your audio is defected, then reinstalling will not fix the problem. But try reinstalling the drivers first.
Let me know what happens.

Thanks,
Lolita
