Fault is convergence needs attention can be ajusted via remote control, if will not ajust then component failed on main PCB, need circuit diagram to locate faulty part and understanding of electronics.

Has it been moved latley? is there any auto align mode? i know the lenses can bounce inside there during a move and it can throw off the focus. If there is no kind of auto align it may need serviced. Usualy they have to come out and realign it using special tools. The tools display a cross on the screen in each color and they adjust the throw of the guns that refocus all the colors to the center till it becomes one solid color. The panel drops down from the fron and you adjust the pots with a plastic tool that realigns the guns. There may be a mode in the settings to display the image you use for the alignment. This is a common thing and i think they recomend it be setup at the home and not moved after its setup.

Mitsubishi 40" TV, LT-40134 Vertical lines on left side of screen

I've got the same TV with the same problem. Sometimes by moving it on the stand the lines will go away but it only sometimes temporarily fixes the problem. For a while it seemed like it needed to heat up to go away but that is not the case. It seems like there is a bad connection somewhere but i cant seem to find it. One day, one thing will fix it, then the next day it wont do the trick. It gets very irritating.

RCA SCENIUM MODEL # D52W136DBYX1

If it's normal television, with CRT picture tube . then it's Blue gun which went off normally its a solid state circuit which can malfunction. which is located at the back neck of picture tube blue gun out put circuit a transistor or a resistance of 470 K or 390 K Ohms can blow off. or the tube base can loose contact with the blue gun pin.

Fix my line problem but red LED flashes five times

Hi Guys, Looks like your advise took care of the problem. I adjusted the power knobs for each of the RGB guns on my Sony 51 inch projection TV. The color looks great and I don't seem to have the blinking indicator light bugging me any more. I will be sure to suggest you folks to anyone with these type of technical questions.

GREAT JOB!!

Tv duplicate image

your guns are off and need to be adjusted. your 3 guns (red, green and blue) are off and that would explain the funny colors and shadows. Have a tv tech come out and have a look, they can fix it for a reasonable price.

Why does my TV have a red shadow on all the people and words. i've only had it 4 1/2 yrs

It sounds like the red gun is off. Your tv uses three guns(red, green and blue) to make the picture. sometimes one of these guns shifts a little and the colors get messed up and there are shadows because the gun is still trying to make the image, it just doesnt line up. This is a pretty inexpensive problem that can be fixed by most any tv technician for a small fee. If your pretty confident in your electronics know how, google adjusting guns and your tv and that should yield something.

Samsung TXG2547

The picture on your TV is created by an electron gun firing at the phosphor coating on the screen. The position of the guns beam is controlled by magnetic coils, which are driven by scan circuitry.

Normally, the gun scans left to right, top to bottom to create each single frame of the moving image.

From what you are saying, it sounds like there is a fault in the vertical control system somewhere - basically the gun is going left to right but not up and down, resulting in your picture being squashing down to one row high!

It is unlikely to be a fault with the magnetic coils. My guess would be a faulty resistor that is breaking down (and changing its value) as it gets hot.

It should be a relatively easy to fix, but given the age/value of the TV it might be worth considering a replacement.
