We dont have a problem we just want to register my nuvi 1300 brand new

You will need the serial number off it.

I've registered a Garmin device very recently. The web-page for registering them is at https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/register.htm . From there, choose Automotive, create an account if you don't already have one with Garmin.

From there, you'll need to enter your serial number which you can find "on the bottom of the unit, inside an outlined box (remove mounting bracket to view)." (from the Garmin site)

You might also need a cable to plug your Nuvi 1300 into your computer. If you need this, it will have come in the box and should be easy to find. You may also have to install some software which they will instruct you to do during registration.

To register your Garmin nuvi

1. Connect the satnav to your computer.
   
2. Go to www.garmin.com
3. Select your country from the drop-down list
4. Click the myGarmin tab
   
5. Click "Register your Garmin Product" and follow the prompts.

Go to www.garmin.com When you register you'll be asked to create a username and password. Note them down and save them in a safe place as you'll need them again if you ever want to update the map or software on the satnav.
