If it's a USB adapter, the cable is just a USB extension cable, so that you can move the adapter around for best signal strength without having to move the whole computer.

Remove the phone line, because he no longer needs it to connect to the internet.

Just let Windows load the drivers it needs for the adapter (use the CD that came with it if the computer asks for it).

Try driver download from her http://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/USB-3.0/Cards/2-Port-PCI-SuperSpeed-USB-3-Adapter-Card-with-SATA-Power~PCIUSB3S22

Although I dont understand your statement " will not read a card reader" since you state a problem with the Syba Infozone cable.
Is the problen your USB 3 port or the Syba cable.

well unless ur house is 300 ft long or tall u shouldnt need a booster the wireless range of those routers are excellent

hi there, windows vista, as we all know is more focused on to the security... but it becomes very difficult if it detects other devices as an error...

With vista you can try to run the installation CD for the router, so that the vista knows that there is a driver for that router, without that it will not recognize the router and will keep detecting as an error...

Your wireless set up for super G ? So i think the first problem is configuration e standard mode for wireless. Set up only 54 g.

Second search for your factory wireless usb new driver for windows vista.

Good Luck.
