Question about Samsung Digimax A5 Digital Camera
Sounds like you have damaged the LCD. The LCD is made of 2 sheets of glass and then there is a liquid between the sheets that carry light. Sometimes the glass can crack and the liquid will leak or bleed and then the unit needs a replacement LCD. An impact can crack the glass, dropping it or freezing the unit. A damaged LCD is common because they are so small and thin you cant push on them. A used LCD runs about $40. labor may be a bit more if this is the problem. People buy broken cameras on e-bay it maybe cheaper to get a different unit. If its under warantee you may be able to sxchange it. To verify the screen is damaged hook it to a tv and see if you can see an image on the tv in record or review mode and see if the LCD and the tv view are the same. You could still use it if the LCD is damaged but you will need another way to view the menu. I have done this
