Line trimmer starts and runs well until it gets hot. As soon as throttle let off dies and won't restart until cools down. Less than one year old.

If you are mixing your gas and oil than make sure the ratio is correct, to much fuel and you will run hot, to much oil and you will smoke a lot. Also check spark plug gap that could make machine run hotter than it should be. Make sure engine cooling fins are free of dirt and debris. If it's really less than one year old and if problem persists and you still have heat issue take it back to where you purchased and have them check it out or give you a replacement, a new machine should not run in this manner could be a lemon, it happens. Good Luck...

My husgvarna staggers after a while of cutting then dies whats the problem

i am going to guess that it won't restart immediately after it dies either. It sounds to me like an ignition module going bad. it gets hot then cuts off the spark, once it cools down it starts and runs again until it gets hot again

Crafsman 25cc weedwacker won't stay running

You probably have a bad hose or a bad hose connection that is sucking mostly air instead of delivering full fuel to the carburetor!

I have a ryobi weed wasp line trimmer, it's a few years old maybe 12 years, the other month I left the machine out in the rain over night, and now after numourus intermittent tries over severel weeks...

sounds like the carb is gummed up. take the carb off and take it apart. pull the needle out and make sure it slides freely, if that doesnt fix it there probabbly an air leak in one of the fuel lines or the prime ball.

My 7-year old 25cc Craftsman line trimmer began surging during use, would bog down when given throttle, then would completely die, became hard-starting, and now doesn't start and run at all. Acts like...

A new fuel filter with new fuel lines and a rebuild kit for the carburetor should do it. You may even be able to get away with just the gasket and diaphragm kit for the carburetor. It is cheaper than the complete rebuild kit if you choose. Run synthetic oil and these things will last a good long while.

Ryobi EX26 dies when hot, won't start, then when cool starts

This sounnds too good to be true, but believe it!

The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. It should start to run again. This means that the gas cap is clogged. Either clear the gas cap or buy a new one. This should solve the problem.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Hard starting will not restart after warmup

Try this: The next time you run the trimmer, and it begins to die, loosen the gas cap. It should start running again. This means that the gas cap is clogged. Clean the holes out of gas cap, or buy a new one. (If this doesn't help, give a more detailed explanation the next time.)
