Line trimmer starts and runs well until it gets hot. As soon as throttle let off dies and won't restart until cools down. Less than one year old.

If you are mixing your gas and oil than make sure the ratio is correct, to much fuel and you will run hot, to much oil and you will smoke a lot. Also check spark plug gap that could make machine run hotter than it should be. Make sure engine cooling fins are free of dirt and debris. If it's really less than one year old and if problem persists and you still have heat issue take it back to where you purchased and have them check it out or give you a replacement, a new machine should not run in this manner could be a lemon, it happens.
