First make sure your computer is set to get IP settings automatically can not log on my - d700cda.jpg
then:

locate the command prompt (start->all programs->accessories) & type in the command ipconfig then hit enter

look for the value of default gateway - that's your router IP address

You can usually reset by finding the TINY reset hole button. You'll need a paperclip or something to hit it, but if you hold that for about 5 seconds, it should reset. Some routers are different though, so you should check your manual for that, and for the default password after you set it. Most are just user: admin, pass:admin but since you have a Belkin, it could be different. Let me know if this helps.

Undo computer router security password

Assuming you mean for the Router itself
1) Make sure you have your LOG IN details for your internet account at your ISP. Make sure you have an Ethernet cable that you can run to your PC
2) Turn off the Router and look for the little 'factory reset' hole on the back (some have buttens rather than holes).
3) Push a paperclip into the hole (or hold down the button) & turn on the Router

This sets the Router back to 'factory standard. MOST Routers have the Factory password printed on a label (most of those without, you log in as 'admin' with password 'admin').

You have to use Ethernet cable because, after a Factory reset, the WiFi will be 'off'. You will have to re-enter the WiFI password (and anything else you changed form 'factory standard' such as the SSID)

I bought my netgear router over a year ago and it is no longer under warranty. i have since moved and had to change internet providers to hughes net. now my router needs to be reconfigured to my new...

you can log into the netgear.

the ip address and the password are usuall underneath it.

connect it to yout laptop or pc and login using the details. once logged in, you will be prompted to insert new services provider details, or if its a DHCP connection and you have your router plugged into the wireless netgear, it will pickup the settings, all you will need to do is define SSID (wireless name) and password.

any probs let me know

I want to change my network password

Hi

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Type the router's URL into your web browser. To access and change any settings on your router, you must log into the router's URL. This will allow your computer to communicate with the router and access the router's main page. When accessing the router's URL, use the same computer that was used to install the router. If you do not know the router's URL, look for this information in the router's manual or on the manufacturer's website. After entering the URL into the web browser's address bar, press "Enter" or click the "Go" button on the browser.
Input the router's default username and password. Once you enter the router's URL into your web browser, a dialog box will appear requiring you to input the router's username and password. (Note that this password is not the network password.) Unless you have previously changed the router's username and password, input the default ones. Many browsers have the default username of "admin" and have the password set as "password" or have no password at all. To find out your router's username and password, check the documentation that came with your router or check the manufacturer's website. Click "OK" to proceed to the router's main page.
Access the router's security settings. Depending on your brand of router, there will be tabs or links on the router's main page. One of these will contain the page for changing your security settings. Find and click the link or tab. This page will contain several textboxes, one of which will contain the SSID (name of the network) and two textboxes for changing the network password.
Select an encryption type and change the network password. Most new routers offer WEP (Wired Equivalency Privacy) security or WPA security. To create a password using letters and/or numbers, you must choose the WPA security setting. Change the network password by typing in a new password in the two textboxes. When you are finished, click "OK."
Save your changes and log out. After changing the network password, you must click "Save" or "Apply" to keep the password change. Log out of the router by clicking the "Logout" or "Exit" link on the router's main page. If you leave the main page open for a certain period of time, you may automatically be logged out of the router.

Why won't registration recognize our email address and password? Do we use the password that came with the router?

Registration of what?
Your router password has nothing to do with anything other than either logging on to your router or connecting your router to a computer via wifi.
Some registration forms will not accept webmail,
Some more info needed

How do i change my router password

Please just follow the steps to change your router's password.

1. Open your Internet browser, type the address of the router into the URL address bar, and open it. The address is typically in the form of 192.168.X.X. This is the local network address.

2. Enter the account name and password to open the router setup utility.

3. Navigate through the setup utility until you find the screen that will let you change the password. You will need to enter the old password to change it.

4. Decide on a new password that has good security to a hacker. The best password is more than 8 characters and uses both lower case and upper case letters and numbers. Some will allow you to use special characters also. Do not make the password anything that can be found in a dictionary or any date of significance.

5. Enter the old password in the change password page of the router. When prompted then enter the new password. You will be asked to enter it twice to confirm that the correct password is entered.

6. Immediately, record the new password in some secure location that you can find if you forget it.

7. Confirm the password change on the router page and log off the router. To check the information and that the router has been setup correctly with the new password, open the router address in the browser again and log in with the new information. If you are able to log in, you have successfully changed the password.

Thanks.
Have a great day.

How do i get my wep key

you should use wpa2, its much stronger than wep, and you choose your own password.
Wep gives you a key.
Log into your router. If you dont know how to do this google your router and it will tell you how to do it.
My router is accessed by typing 192.168.0.1 into my browser.
you then need to know the log in name and password, sometimes printed onto the router, my default was admin and no password, sometimes administrator and password is password .
look for wifi security and your setting are there. this site has most router models instructions http://www.routerpasswords.com/

I cannot get my wireless router to work after resetting it.

When you reset the router, it will go back to its factory settings which means you will lose all the settings or configuration you created on the router.

You have to reconfigure it using a setup CD supplied with the router or reconfigure it manually by logging in via the setup page of your router using your browser (IE or Mozilla).
