Code has been lost its a grundig car 200 - Car Audio & Video

I have a Vauxhall Astra and i have lost the code for its can anyone help me please. Below are the details on the radio

normally on those it it is a four digit code it will be 4265

Grundig 200 car radio can decode in the next way:

First step: Switch off the radio and the ignition as well.
Second step: Push the AS button and keep it pushed, at the same time turn on the ignition.

After this you will hear a beep sound. Now you can release the AS button.

Now you can enter the code in the next way: The first number can be set with the button ''1'', the second number of your code can be set with button ''2'' and so on. By pushing the ''1'',''2'',3'',''4'' buttons the value indicated in the screen will be increased by one. So if the first number of your code is 5 then you have to push the button ''1'' 5 times.

if this doesnt work then it will be cheaper to buy a new car radio contact me and let me no how you get on :)

Oh and the serial number is either engraved on the side of the unit or an actual sticker which is in the format you describe. You'll need to remove the unit from the dashboard to be able to get access to this.

There are 3 ways you can get the radio code:
1. Reference your car manual or the Grundig's manual that came with the unit. Most times, there is a sticker on the manual with the radio code printed;
2. Call/visit the car dealer and explain your issue. You may need to show proof of ownership of the vehicle and/or the radio;
3. Use firms who specializes in this. You can try here, here or here.

If the Grundig is the original radio installed when the Vauxhall Astra was new. there are some unconfirmed reports that the radio code is also stenciled on the metal plate where the Vehicle Identification Number is.
