Hello,
Being an All-In-One HP1410, the installation is for all the features of the printer.
HP normally supplies a software package of about 71MB for this model printer.
I have provided a link to the HP support page for your model All-In-One unit.
Uninstall any HP software that is currently installed for your printer.
Disconnect your USB cable from your printer from your computer.
Please copy and paste the below link to your web browser.
The page will ask to select operating system you have on your computer.
Dowbload the installation software to your desktop.
Open the download and install as prompted.
The process could take up to 30 minutes, and will ask your plug in your USB cable about halfway through the installation, after detection of your printer the installation will finsh and all your printer features should be OK.

as the copier works its not a hardware concern.if the scanneris not found it means the drivers are not installed properly.Try uninstalling the drivers completely from the device manager as well as the printer and faxes and the scanners and cameras(if possible delete the ebtries in the registry as well that are related to the software and the VID and PID keys from there).Then try a plug and play.....see if it works....
