When watching T.V. the red color is orange and the picture is hard to see when a dark part of the movie or show is on. I have tried to play with the menu and it did very little.

Picture is very dark.

Sounds like the screen voltage has been gone very low than normal. This might happen, if the CRT base socket have any damage. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. Surf the site in "MOSAIC" view.

Red cirle in the center of my screen durning dark scenes

This sounds like the light engine has gone bad or has dust/dirt in the light tunnel or DMD assembly. The light engine would have to be removed to check for dirt. If the engine is bad it can cost over $800 just for the engine not including shop charge. Unit would need to be taken to a repair shop to find out what is actually causing the problem.

Sanyo ds31590 picture's very dark and red

sounds to me that your picture tube needs rejuvenated.
You will need to get it done by a tech.
mechanical doesn't mean a thing when it comes to electronics.
Mechanics when working on electronics, end up costing more damage when you end up taking it to a tech.

Picture is dark

Does not seem like a bad tube alone. Could also be that the Video output Transistors Supply Filter capacitor having dried out. It is a 100mfd 160V capacitor, which on replacement will improve the brightness of the immage. And yes, you could also try increasing the heater voltage (Filament Voltage)of the Pictuire tube, this will definitely increase brightness, but will reduce the life of the Picture tube. You gotta think - 10 year old TV, should I repair or exchange and get a new one???

Brightness and volume

The dark picture is a bad capacitor for the screen or drive voltage for the picture tube driver transistors. The other problem of streaking is one of the same. Thats the indication that a capacitors defective . It could in a rare cas ebe a defective or gassy crt as well but 99% of the time when a crt is said to be gassy its nothing more then poor drive to the crt. Good luck

could be an intermittant connection on the picture tube curcuit board,or a bad picture tube, a bad flyback xformer,or a bad b+ capacitor off the flyback that controls the driver transistors on the crt board. Good Luck
