Need to set gps path in the file manager - Sylvania SGPD430 GPS Receiver

Firstly you need to make sure your GPS card has maps files.
1. check your settings menu
2. try to find out navi path setting option
3. then click the select button to set it, the final path should be with .exe file.
4. Then click OK to save your settings.

Odds are if it cannot locate the gps path, it means that you are within an area in which a sat cannot link.
Other problems such as buildings, and even fast speeds can prevent the GPS from being detected.

my Sylvania gps navigation system stop working. can anyone offer some advice what to do? model sgpd432 serial number 100902555. my system is stating it can not find the gps program! and please set gps path in file manage.

Set GPS Path ..
On your Sylvania GPS go to System Setting > GPS Path .This function is to set GPS path for your navigation. Screen display will show asfollows:



File folders of TF card will be listed on screen. Click a folder to open it. Select GPSSoftware If there are two or more maps from different companies on an TF card, then thisfeature can help you select each of them easily. The way to Select: :In TF card directory,open the file folder to find the map to be used, select navigation software of .exe,(whichhas different names from each different company), then select andclicK icon, a dialogue frame will pop up on screen, as it shown below:





Click the accept icon to accept.
Click X icon on the upper right corner to return to GPS path interface.

hgv settings easy to get go to gps settings go to route then at bottom of screen it will say settings eg car click on it and then pick truck one edit it to what ever you need

reinstall the software from the discs you got with it

The unit needs to be reflashed because you have corrupted file(s) onthe internal memory of the unit.

when i click on the gps it says cant find the gps program please set path in file manege what do i do

If you haven't already fixed this; try going into, settings, navsetup, - this should give a Path of navigation software line, this line should read: '\StorageCard\iGO8\iGO8.exe' click on file icon at end of the path window "select storage card, select iGO8.exe, select tick to apply then exit.


This works for mine but I assume that if an alternative software is shown in the path window you must choose an approppriate .exe file in the storage card files.
