Hp 20-f230 bios battery replacement

Remove the case and it is usually a CR2032 button battery. You will see it on the motherboard with a small clip. Having said that, your is not a straight forward desktop, but a Apple type clone. There is a picture of the motherboard here and I don't see anything that looks like a CMOS battery. You can contact HP Support direct. PC - dies no power, but comes to life after a few days if left unplugged. Then it works and at somepoint dies again (no fans, power, etc) How do I fix?

My first thought would be that it is a power supply problem. But, before replacing the power supply, unplug the power cord from computer and wall plug, plug it in a gain making sure it goes in all the way.
If still flaky, its probably a power supply problem.
Hope it helps.

Hello I have a hp pavilion p6000 series, and everytimei try turning it on it won't boot up the monitor?

If the monitor is not booting up than may be there is display problem on the mother board. Replace the CMOS battery of the motherboard and then check. If this solution not work then there is technical problem in the motherboard which will get fixed only by expert motherboard repair technician.

If your laptop battery will not hold or recharge can it be fixed and if so how i have already brought a new battery but I would like to try and use this bad on as a backup

Hi,
There is a way where even a bad battery can give backup power for about half an hour but it is only possible once. This can be done by shorting the battery cells, but i would recommend not to do it yourself or don't do it ever. There is no other way the battery can be brought to life again. It is recommended that you shouldn't throw the battery in the garbage instead send it to the manufacturer to recycle it.

Hope it helps.
Thanks and Regards

Battery problem

Batteries in portable systems on average last approximately 300 to 500 recharge cycles (Roughly 12 to 18 months) and are considered a consumable item (Hence the 1 year warranty when the rest of the system can have a 3 to 5 year warranty). So your battery replacement is not entirely unusual. If a replacement battery is detected and recharges normally, then stops working after 12+ months of heavy use, the failure is normally the battery.

One thing to check is to see if the battery is under recall:

Google shows that Lenovo batteries run about $100 for a N-Series system (4400 mAh) which is about normal pricing for a laptop battery.

I have a crappy HP pavillion dv6000 laptop, after working fine on shutdown last night, i turned on this morning and it would not boot up. the lights on the volume bar lit up, flashed, and went off...thats...

It's acting like the juice is drained in the battery. Are you sure it's charged? Do you have a spare battery you can swap out?

Some of them come with two. I actually have the same series laptop (a Pavilion dv6258se, 6000 series), and they can be a little flaky.

I also had an issue where my HP power cable (that connects the laptop to the wall outlet) was faulty, and needed to be replaced, because it stopped charging the battery. I ended up purchasing a generic replacement power cable on eBay.

I am unable to find a retail source for a replacement battery for the GP4102 Mouse, P/N AS00248001A, S/N FD035005217. Can I purchase it direct from Gyration?

So, someone above posted that you can rebuild the batteries...I took the mouse to my local Batteries Plus store, and they have a tech sitting there that can rebuild them...I bought a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries, and the tech there rebuilt the pack with new batteries...you just have to pop the cover off of the battery pack, and let the tech do the rest...cost me $15
