Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z57 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Broken screen Someone dropped my camera and the screen looks cracked. When you feel it there is nothing there. It appears to be on the inside. The memory is intact. I can still take pictures and videos, but I just can't see in the screen. Is this repairable? About how much will it cost to repair and where should I get it repaired?

Replacable, yes(the screen), repairable, no. you'll have to get the screen replaced, and contact casio to find out if they do it or who is authorized in your area to order you a screen and do the replacement. A note, they(casio and the rest) tend to make it very expensive. overly. Good luck

How should I check my Nikon D3100 for damage after a drop?

Just try the on / off switch, if it still goes smooth. Turn the main dial and other knobs. Then shot some pictures and look on the computer what results you have. See if the auto focus still works correct and look s any extra lines (Chromatic aberration) appear in the pictures you took.
My guess, because the camera was inside a bag, nothing serous happened.
If you want to be 100% sure, you could send it to a Nikon certified service centre, but it will cost you (not a bit) I don't think you sold do that. Special if you can't see or feel anything is wrong.
Success with the camera.

Broken LCD screen on the inside

They will repair it for $50 if you send it in to them, otherwise you can probably get a screen on ebay.

Samsung tocco 480 screen is cracked/broken

The screen should keep working with the LCD cracked. i.e you should be able to receive calls.
You can find replacement LCD screens for Samsung F480 in this link:

I hope it helps.

I have dropped my SAMSUNG D1070 PINK digital camera. The screen is now white with a black mark inside it and appears to have a crack inside it...Can this be fixed?? I only got the camera at christmas....

Dear lauren_holt,

I'm so sorry to hear that your Pink Samsung D1070 Digital Camera was dropped and appears to be cracked and now has a screen that is white with a black mark!
This doesn't sound good!
Have you tried taking the battery out (make sure you leave it out for a least 1 minute) then replacing it (sometimes overnight or 24 hours will be required)?
Sometimes this works!
You may be covered under the warranty, unfortunately some companies might not honor the warranty if you dropped it.
I'm disappointed in Samsung for even making a camera that would break when dropped if this is true!
Anyway click on the following link for Samsung Support @ http://www.samsung.com/us/support/main/supportSupportMain.do

CRACKED SCREEN

You cannot repair the broken LCD screen; the white you are seeing is the backlight for it. LCDs have extremely thin gold deposits along one edge that is contacted by a silicone rubber strip that has fine wires molded into it vertically and one edge is pressed against the LCD panel for contact. It is a fussy arrangement when new and it sure doesn't get any better when dropped.
I wouldn't delay too long looking for parts or repair; Polaroid filed for bankruptcy last week although I doubt if the parent had anything to do with the manufacture of your camera; as with many companies with limited manufacturing means, the camera was surely built by others.

Dropped my camera, now it's broken.

Take the batteries out and recharge them and also look in the battery compartment for any cracks or contacts out of place. what your describing is that the camera can't get enough power to load up.
