I have two black lines running across my moniter

Few of the top reasons for causing these "lines" running across the screen are :

1. Corrupted video driver
2. Changes in hardware configuration (display)
3. Monitor issue (hardware)

In order to determine if it's hardware/software issue, all you need to do is to boot to BIOS and check if the problem replicates. Depending on system, you can go to the BIOS screen by tapping "F2" or "DEL" key repeatedly as soon as you turn on the computer until you see a different screen.

If the problem is present while in BIOS, then definitely the monitor needs to be repaired by an authorized repair center. Otherwise, video driver update or Operating system re-install can resolve this problem.

sorry to break the bad news it sounds like the actuall lcd in the moniter is faulty and your best bet is to buy a new one as it is cheaper then getting it repaired unless its under warrenty

Sounds like the video card is going or has gone out

buffer board/can be repaired or new buffer

I would test the cable, use it on a different monitor or try a different cable. That is the only other thing to check, otherwise it definitely is the monitor.

you have to change the display, this is the only thing you can do or use your notebook with external lcd o monitor.

Replace c7136 & c7154 on A board This should clear up your problem

I think you need to check all capacitor in vertical section. Maybe there is a leaky capacitor, and one the cause of black bar.

A line on an LCD, either horizontal or vertical usually means the video driver board is defective or the screen is defective, does it show up as black even on a dark screen? That means a line of LCD "shutter"s is not working and there is a problem that cant be fixed by a reboot or channel change. Bummer.

i have the same monitor. you might be able to purchase new cords for the monitor or it might just be the monitor itself if it is you will need to get a new one.
