Softner does not rinse away

sometimes there is a cap on the agitator that u remove then place softner in? otherwise unless ur unit is an old one and u just add it to the water when its in rinse cycle

then the solenoid is not actuating to allow water into drawer. take top off, very easy, two screws in back, pull back, lift off. follow hose from softer cup to little round device/solenoid. check wiring. check hose, tho you would know there was a problem with hose, because you would see a water leak. replace solenoid. hope this is the issue. good luck.

You have to do it manually. Ugh. See below from manual:

Liquid Fabric Softener (Manually add during rinse cycle)
1. Turn OPTIONS knob to FABRIC SOFTENER
2. Measure liquid fabric softener carefully, following instructions on the bottle, and add during the rinse cycle.

OPTIONS (on some models)
Set this option when planning to manually add fabric softener during the rinse cycle or when you use extra detergent or bleach to clean hazily soiled items. It provides an enhanced rinse.

in the top of your soap draw compartment is a lever that switches the water jets over ( for instance on the main wash the jet arm is directed in the main wash compartment which will take away your main wash powder then it moves the jet are to the sofner compartment on the final rinse ) the jet arm somtimes jams and needs cleaning and the small holes above your draw compartments clog with lime build up the thing to do is take out your draw clean the inside at the top where the holes are and take the top off your machine there are two screws at the back top you will see the little ark on your soap draw it will have a return spring on it gently move it from side to side this will clear any obstuction make sure that it will spring back clean any line around the arm ( make sure you switch unplug your machine before you remove the top)

Clean out the holes on the spray arms, or replace the spray arms.

Same as above problem: I have had this dishwasher for less than 4 years and the dishes as of about 2 years ago stopped getting cleaned. I use the recommended dish liquid and rinse and lightly clean the dishes before I put them in.

hi if your softner dispensor is a removable compartment from the soap powder drawer ? then remove the dispensor and you will see the pipe with cap on top at rear ? pull this pipe off and ensure it is not blocked and that the cap is a firm fit on top? then ensure the short pipe that is part of dispensor tub is clear reassemble and refit try again ? these softner dispensor work by syphon effect IE when you top up to recommended level with softner in dispensor ? it remains untill wash is at softner rinse cycle then when water is entered into dispensor of softner and the level is raised to above the short pipe within compartment and the outer pipe with top on ? the syphon effect takes place and the softner+waterlevel is is syphoned int machine and dispensor is empty?? i hope you understand ? it is simple and works if you think of a toilet cistern how it syphons water for flush it is the same principle hope this helps

UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO CLEAN IT.I SUGGEST THAT AFTER YOU HAVE CLEANED IT I ADVISE YOU TO DILUTE THE STA SOFT BEFORE PUTTING IT INTO THE DISPENSER.FOR EXAMPLE WHAT EVER THE QUANTITY OF YOUR STA SOFT LETS SAY ITS ONE CAP FULL.THEN TAKE HALF A CAP OF WATER AND MIX THAT WILL EASE THE BUILD UP IN THE DRAW.

open the soap drawer when softener should be taken and see if there is a jet of water into the conditioner box. if not, a common cause is the jets in the roof of the box blocked. poke a hairpin in the holes in the roof of the box and see if this cures the problem. if the rinse water does come in, this means that the actual water valve is ok
