Ok we are looking at a number of problems here. Could be simplya misadustment of the black level or the set has bad video or the set needs to be cleaned internally..

baseball bat (wooden) works best ...... If TV acts broken it might as well LOOK BROKEN LOL anyways good luck fixin your device...

The convergence is not working. Tried using this to eliminate problem but it didn't work.

check the video drivers on the crt board also the resistors.
