Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines

Our wd400 washer/dryer wont get clothes dry we,ve had it on for three hours and there still damp, this morning we tried it and all lights started flashing on the front and I had to flick it off at the mains. The wash function still works fine though.I had suspected a blocked filter though I cant see how you access it.

There are 2 issues to concern yourself with here:

You may have a blocked exhaust from the dryer. This could be any where from the dryer itself to the point in your dwelling where the exhaust air from the dryer exits to the atmosphere. Please figure this out first. If you feel exhaust coming out strongly from this point, then....

You most likely have a heating element that has gone bad. Replacement would be the ideal fix.

Brian

I just moved into an apartment and have a Bosch front load washer and dryer. I'm not sure if I'm putting the soap, bleach and fabric softener in the correct trays . There are three slots and I

I am not sure of the dispenser trays but if the clothes are taking to long to dry and are still damp, check the vent hose and the duct work going out the apartment for lint buildup.

Whirlpool AWZ410 Washer/Dryer Washes But Will Not Dry!

I have the same problem. The half load / drying button is pushed in; the drying time set; I've reduced the load to almost nothing, but it won't dry. I've tried numerous cycles. The clothes spin, but are still damp at the end.

How would I go about checking my lid switch or fixing my clutch, if that's the problem?

Washer-dryer # wm3677HW will not dry, heats up, run, on and on

You're a moron. This unit washes and dries. That's the whole point of it. Perhaps you should do some research before answering the question. the most likely cause is the water lever sensor.

Hello: I have a Maytag, do not know model # as I inherited the 5 year old model when I purchased a condo and it is now 7 years old. The front of it states Maytag - Dependable Use, Heavy Dtuty - Large...

I ALWAYS START WITH VENTING WHEN CALLED WITH LONG DRYING TIMES BUT I HAVE SEEN WHERE ONLY HALF OF THE HEATING ELEMENT IS WORKING, WHICH IS PRETTY RARE. A NORMAL LOAD WOULD BE WHATEVER THE WASHER HAD IN IT WHICH WOULD BE LOOSLY FILLED TO THE TOP ROW OF HOLES IN THE WASHER TUB. THE ONLY OTHER QUESTION I WOULD ASK IS IF THE WASHER SEEMS TO BE SPINNING OUT PROPERLY AND IF THE CLOTHES ARE GOING INTO THE DRYER TOO WET.

Hello, sounds like your cold water feed hose has got a kink in it. The machine needs cold water to condense the steam. Just pull out the machine and slowly slide back into place.
