Does the TV turn off on it's own, or is the remote being pointed at the TV when it goes off - without you pressing the power button on the remote? If the TV goes off with the remote pointed at it (without you pressing the power button), it could be old batteries, or you need a new remote. Have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote? If it's not the batteries, have you got a universal remote lying around somewhere that you can program to operate the TV and try to operate the TV with it? If you determine that it's not the remote, it is probably something to do with the infrared remote sensor, or something faulty in the sensor's circuit board that controls the power switch. How old is the TV? If still under warranty, I would call the manufacturer and explain your problem. They will be able to assist you with any further questions you may have. The number for the manufacturer's Customer Service is located inside of the owner's manual. If you no loner have the manual, you can easily get the contact info via the manufacturer's website. Good luck, and I hope this helps...

Intermittently there is a problem starting the car. The key turns on all the electrics but when turned further it does not engage the starter.

Check your ignition switch electrical side
Check the relay
Or the starter motor itself must be playing up

Volume pegs to max. Turns itself on. Goes to menu. Intermittent

This is becoz your Internal Remote control response program chip needs to be replaced! You need it to get repaired at nearest service station. Or it may be due to Your keys pressed continously from remote control. Check both the causes! then decide. It will help you!

TV wont turn on

If I understand you correctly u can occasionally get the tv out of standby using the remote but seldomly if ever using the tv mounted controls . This being the case I would suggest the capacitors on the output stage of your TVs power supply and starting to fail giving you low voltage and keeping the set in standby its a very comin fault on SMPS's

I have an 37LC7D. It occasionally hangs on channel 41. When this happens it turns itself off but comes right back on, then off again. When this happens the remote will not do anything. To get the set going...

check your set up and make sure it is in consumer not hotel settings. The hotels use a random program channel to turn sets off. IT should be in the fist time set up menu.
please leave feedback

Acoustic Solutions LCD26761HDF TV turned itself off & standby light started flashing. TV wont respond to remote or on set buttons

The solution to Acoustic Solutions problems, such as intermittant power off and flashing blue light is very simple: dump it in the trash. This product has lots of problems which are associated with memory and timing. There is no software update available, its just cheap Chinese ****.

TV Automatically Turns Off

There are so many different places where an intermittant problem of this kind could occur, it will be nearly impossible for anyone to give you any clear guidance on this one. The most common failure in modern sets is related to the power supply but that kind of problem is one that appears sometimes as a gradual decay of its time to power up or a decreasing length of operating time and finally a failure to turn on at all.
There is a section that is kept 'alive' by a small part of the power supply so the set can accept commands from your remote to power up the rest of the set and the receiver of the remote's IR output stays turned on as long as AC is connected. This section could have a semiconductor that is intermittant so that it sends a command to turn the set on or off without you using the remote to send the command. There are tens of thousands of individual active and passive components in our modern sets and only one single part needs to be randomly failing to cause your problem.
There is a slim chance that the remote is the culprit since they too are never completely 'off' and it could be sending commands on its own. To eliminate this possibility, either take the battery out of the remote or put a pillow on top of it so the IR signal is absolutely disabled.
If the set still does what it pleases, then the remote is OK and the trouble is then definitely in the set itself.
The remote receiver electronics in the set could be part of the main board or a separate item on a small auxilliary board so whoever gets this to repair will need the whole set available.

No Picture - Black Screen. Intermittent Sound

I repaired an RCA same model with a very similar symptom. I found bad connections on the printed circuit board at L411 and L 412 (coils) in the horizontal drive circuit. Give the set a good Fonzie ( Happy Days) smack on the side and see if it comes on. LOL. Bad connections are common with that model. It is probably worth fixing and no, lightning didnt do it.
