Question about HP Business Inkjet 1100dtn Printer
Will not print at all. PC sends document to printer, no document appears in the printer queue. I can print a test page ok by pressing the paper icon on the printer, but nothing else.
A colleague was printing documents last Friday and it stopped in the middle of the run and has not worked since.
Your help would be appreciated
This very simple solution works on my Business Inkjet 1100.
1) Turn the printer off, then back on, to clear the error.
2) Set your computer's clock back to a date prior to the cartridge expiry date.
3) Print something, (any documents will do).
4) Set your computer's clock forward to the correct date and the printer should still print, and ignore the expired cartridges.
My 1100 re-checks the cartridges and dates occasionally, but not frequently (it has been about two months between checks) so you might need to repeat this process every two months or so until you have used up your expired cartridges.
This solution is much easier than dismantling the printer and changing/removing wires!

Here is How to run expired ink
Ok it took me a while to realize this but it is actually really simple to bypass them. The bad news is you must first go out and buy a new cartridge of that same color. Then take a knife and cut the lower stripe on both sides of the cartridge right where they assembled it. Dont worry you wont damage the cartridge. Then simply un-snap it on the new cartridge. The chip that you need comes off with it all in one piece. Then take your old cartridge and do the same thing. Finally snap the newest one in place on the old cartridge and your are ready to go. Its that easy. When you finally run that one out of ink remove it and put it back on the new cartridge and you can then run it.
Yes its that easy..... And it really works no damage no problems.

You have expired ink or print heads. You can print test pages, but ABOSLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS when you try and print a document.
Check the expiration dates on your cartridges and printheads.
