Some times you can screw up your display setting and such and it will affect the mouse speed.

Even more RAM can give you more HP from your computer. 2 GB
Dual core being the next best thing, and Quad core even faster. Computer work on jobs as threads. Multi-threading is what makes it capable to be online with 12 different windows open. Checking your email and Downloading some music with no visible lag issues!
You seem very tech savvy and I would say get books on A+ and Net+ certifications. Even better ideas are Cisco (CCNA) certification and MCSE. Study, take the practice tests till you can answer them sleeping and register at certified testing facility and take test(s). CCNA is very hard and is not a Multiple choice test but a evolving test. Just my thought, I spent $24,000 and went to a Tech school and have a certificate, I am just saying your background gives you an advantage.

Sometimes this delay is a result of the video trying to catch up with the data involved. Just shooting from the hip, I would recommend turning off some of the bells and whistles that tend to slow down the video on windows computers. Try this to see if it matters: click Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, under the title Performance click Settings, then pick the radio button for best performance. Click OK on the buttons until all these windows are closed. Most of this unnecessary overhead will slow all but the best equipped machines. Also be sure you have all the latest drivers on this fresh installation. Hope this helps

External Usb Hard Drive Data Recovery

Have a external Hard drive? Does not power on or the computer does not find it? Do these steps below for your fix.

Folks I am going to demonstrate to you how to save your data on your failed external usb hard drive.

The Videos below will show you how to retrieve the hard drive out of a My book 1TB drive. This method can be used for all external hard drives as there all basically SATA drives.

1. You need a flat head screw driver.
2. You take the drive in your hand and you pry it open around the sides and back there are no screws on this drive.
3. Once you got it open you basically follow the steps below in the video and what you can do is put this hard drive inside of another case or directly into the computer.

The videos are kinda dark but you can basically see and hear what I am doing here folks.

When you follow my video's here you will have a fix as long as the drive is not crashed. Opening the drive up VOIDS the warranty for the drive so please if you have a warranty and care less about the data sent it back to the manufacture.

I hope you find these video's helpful

My device is unrecognized by windows vista it keeps saying I need to update the driver but this I know is built into the unit is there a fix for this?

Try uninstalling the Generic USB Hub and USB root HUB drivers listed in your computer.
Restart the computer and then try connecting the HDD once more.

I need to remove the hard drive and install another on my acer aspire 3004wlci and i need instructions on how to do this can anyone help

It you take the drive out and fit it into another machine (not the same model) there is a good chance when you boot it you will get a blue screen of death. You see if the chipsets on the motherboards are different then windows wont like it. You are best buying a laptop drive caddy and using it as a slave drive.
To remove it is easy. turn the laptop over and there are a few removable cover usually held by two screws. remove the covers until you find the one the drive is in and you may find it is held by another screw 9probably not) it will just slide out.

Hi, guys. Just received your Iomega eGo Helium 500 GB external hard drive and successfully backed up the HD on my MacBook Pro. My question is whether your HD can be formatted/configured so I can also...

Yes all external drives can be formatted but formatting will always wipe off everything on it. If you want to format it you can right click on it when it appears in Windows Explorer. You are usually offered the choice of file system FAT or NTFS. FAT is limited to a file size of about 4 GB, so usually choose NTFS, I am presuming you are talking Windows system. Then you would have to copy your files to it once again.

Hard disk not proper work

You could try the built in scan and fix tools ( right click on your hard drive in my computer / properties / tools )
If you cant boot the computer normally, try safe mode ( F8 while booting)
If you cant start your computer at all, and you have no knowledge of computers, you will have to take it to a repair shop.
IF they need to replace your hard drive, you will loose everything on it, plus they may have to charge you to re install windows

Drive got deleted

hi, you could either replace the hard drive for a larger one or invest in an external hard drive, these are really cheap at the moment and you can purchase a 1TB (1000gb roughly) for less than £80. i recommend ebuyer, fast delivery and value for money. (can i plug ebuyer?)

Hard drive apparently deceased

Technically any equivalent drive should work.
There are many drives available which should work in this laptop.

most laptops are 2.5 inch drives - only the height varies; rated as 1/8 height, 1/4 height or 1/2 height.

Remeber that you will need a way of re-installing your operating system once the hardware is fixed. You will need the recovery disk or original os disk provided with the laptop to make this operation go smoothly.

Dont remeber my password

If the password you forgot is the user password, reinstalling the operating system will help you. If the password you forgot is the bios password(one which should be entered before boot up), you could reset it by removing and resetting the button cell present in the mother board.
