Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop

Casio te-2000 I have put the data into the till that we require ie: staff codes and programed the department keys to my spec and the till will not respond? the data is there it just does not!! :O) Tracey

    Hi there, thanks for the reply..... I have put in all the department keys now should marry to a car dept 1 is a starter motor dept 2 alternator and this has been in the system on the till roll.... i have issued 5 members of staff a staff number and put there names into the data and they married up....I do not need to put in half of what is in the manual, we just need the departments and clerk numbers to work.... when i then went to the register key, the staff numbers were not required and the departments are not working? I have done this twice now! The first time it worked then stopped working? so I wiped the memory and re-initalised the till and started again...... We are not going to have a new till soon as I am ready to launch it out of the nearest window :O)

Hi Tracey,
Don't worry, we can get to the bottom of your problem. I need to know a bit more about the problem. Are you saying that the wrong names and prices come up when you use the departments, or is it giving an error (if so, what name/ number is the error)? Please let me know as much as you can about the problem, and I'll get back to you.

    Ok. That's strange. If you've initialised it fully, then you've lost system settings as well, so the problem can get worse. However, I would expect the departments to all return to default where they should easily be programmed, so we'll start there.

    To set department names:

    Turn key to Program mode.
    Press 2 then SUBTOTAL. You should see 'P2' on display.
    Enter characters for new name.
    Press 00 (double zero) button.
    Press department to set the name onto.
    Press SUBTOTAL.

    Try this and see if any depts work in REG mode. You will need to type a price (no decimal point), then press a dept.

How to program discount on Casio TE-2400 cash register

No need to program it. It is enabled by default. For a percentage discount, just type the percentage eg 10 then press %- button. For amount discount, type the dollar amount eg 2000 (no decimal) then press - button.

Why isn't it working?

It may have lost the program. Has the battery been replaced on time? You need the dealer codes to program it. One of the users has the dealer codes in this manual:

it was probably master reset meaning it set back to factory settings. or it may need a master reset and then each department reprogrammed with tax status and such but it doesnd sound like your manual is user friendly...I hope it helps 6_7_2013_5_12_59_pm.jpg
