Hi there, If your browse to this link: http://www3.pny.com/support/support_landing_subcat.aspx?SectionID=1090&RootSectionID=1061&TypeID=5 You will see the drivers for the PNY FX1500 - download the Windows7 x64 drivers and install those. If you can't get into Windows for long enough to install the drivers, you have an option
You can boot into safe mode (F8 on startup, before Windows screen) and uninstall the current drivers for your video card through device manager. Right click on the graphics card, then select uninstall. You can get to device manager by searching it in the start menu. Reboot into normal windows, then install the new set of drivers that you've downloaded from the above link. Follow the on-screen instruction, then reboot again. Let me know how it goes and I'll see if I can lend more advice! Alex

  • You Gateway only supports up to 8 GB. memory. Hence it will not see your 5 GB. dimms
  • tops: 8129 MB (8 GB.). 4- 2GB. Adding the maximum amount of memory will improve performance and help extend the useful life of your system as you run increasingly demanding software applications in the future.

  • Specs:
  • Installed: 1024 MB DDR2 (PC4200), 533 MHz memory (two 512 MB modules)
  • Expandable to: 8 GB (4 memory slots)

  • How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found at http://www.crucial.com/kb/answer.aspx?qid=4251.

Yes, the 5100C motherboard can support up to 8GB of RAM. It's factory RAM is DDR2 5300, but it can accomodate DDR2-6400 800MHz as well (according to factory specs).

Unable to get my new graphics card to work

Just moments ago, I downloaded the latest (v9.4) Vista 64-bit driver for my LX 6200 for my HD 4650 512MB video card. It seems to have fixed a cursor flickering problem, but didn't help with the screen saver problem. My card is made by Sapphire and I downloaded the driver from there site at: http://www1.sapphiretech.com/us/support/drivers.php

Disabling the built in HD3200 is key to successfully installing the Catalyst software.
